EMP MALAYSIA QUOTES ELECTRIC HEATING SYSTEM FOR SKIM BLOCK DRYER

Our Projects and Engineering Division has recently quoted our customer for an electrical Heating system for their skim block dryer.

As their factory generates their own electrical power from the waste of Palm oil bunches, they requested us to propose this electrical heating system. They prefer not to have a diesel burner.

Though the request is simple enough, we had some difficulty designing and engineering this electrical system. We have to match the electrical system against the diesel burner performance.

Electrical controls must ensure there is no overheating or underheating, maintaining and to increase or reduce the temperature to the set level, prevention of fire risks and other safety interlocking measures.

In the end, we managed to come up with a suitable system and pricing. We look forward to meeting our client soon and discuss this matter with them.

EMP MALAYSIA PUBLISHES AND SELL RUBBER PROCESSING EBOOKS

1st. November 2012

Our Managing Director, Mr.TW Kang who has 30 years of experience in designing, supervision of installation and commissioning of Technically Specified Rubber processing systems, has recently sold an ebook on "TSR 20 Rubber Processing" to an interested investor in Brazil.

The ebook was transmitted to our client via the Internet and payment was made to us via PayPal.

In 2010, during the boom years of rubber prices and an upsurge of companies interested in the setting up of rubber factories around the world, we also sold an ebook to a financier in Hong Kong who wanted to know about the production of Technical Specified rubber.

Hopefully, before our Managing Director retires, he will be able to publish a comprehensive ebook on rubber processing so that the ebook can be sold to investors, processors and factory owners as a guide and as a reference for future generations who are interested in this processing industry. Your comments will be appreciated.

EMP MALAYSIA TIES UP WITH HOTEL CALIBER

30th. October 2012

EMP Malaysia has signed up with Hotel Caliber, Kuala Lumpur as our corporate partner to provide hotel rooms for our guest visitors from overseas.

Whenever our foreign visitors arrive for our factory visits to view their machinery under fabrication, sometimes they lodge themselves in the heart of Kuala Lumpur Central. As the traffic into KL Central is rather erratic and jammy during the peak hours, valuable time is wasted to pick the visitors in the centre of KL due to traffic jams.

For the convenience for our guests and to pick them up without any traffic hassle, we decided to partner with Hotel Caliber.

Hotel Caliber (www.hotelcaliber.com) is a reasonable priced hotel in the suburban of Cheras and is located about 5km from the KL City centre.

Hotel Caliber

It is near to the Middle Ring Road II, and there is abundant eating and entertain places around. In 5 years time, accessibility will be enhanced by the KL Mass Rapid Transit and there is a station nearby. When ready, our guests can go direct into the city by mass transit and jams will be something of the past.

Our company envisages more foreign guests to visit us next year and in the future. They can accept our offer to book for them if they decide to stay here. By booking with us directly, they can obtain better discount on their rooms. Hope our guests will be value this service.

MD TO INVEST IN SOLAR PV GENERATING SYSTEM

17th. October 2012

Our Managing Director will be investing in a home Solar Photovoltaic power generating system for 3.91kWp in our effort in generating power from the sun and reducing our carbon emission footprint.

By installing this Solar PV system, we will be feeding our electrical power to TNB grid and will be paid by TNB monthly based on our electrical power generation from the sun.

From our financial calculations, the amount of electrical power generated and the current FiT rates by TNB, the system is self-financing and the breakeven point is about 11-12 years based on an overdraft financing scheme.

On average, we expect an annual return of 10-12 per cent per annum from the investment for the next 21 years. Certainly, the return is better than having the money invested in FD of local banks.

Other benefits from installing this Solar PV power generating system besides the monetary benefit include a cooler roof and a smaller carbon emission foot print.

At the same time, we can add-value to our home. We also want to reduce our electrical power consumption by using energy saving devices such as inverter fridges, inverter air-conditioners, LED lights and a hot water recovery system for our showers.

The other major contributor to carbon emission is from our transport eg. our use of our cars by burning our petrol. This is another target area to look into.

If all goes well, our company may venture into such green technologies in the future.

ETHEPHON PLUS ORDERS AND ENQUIRIES INCREASE

Our Trading Division has been receiving new orders and repeat orders for our range of Ethephon Plus Latex stimulants over these few weeks.

Moreover, new enquiries and new sample orders are also being placed by our new buyers of our Ethephon Plus products.

It has been reported some Ethephon products manufactured by an Asian country were priced very low. However, some buyers of these products found that they are not effective and inconsistent. They have came back to us for our products instead.

Please be reminded that pricing of any product CANNOT be the sole reason to buy the competitor product unless they have been proven and field tested over the years. Moreover, the normal fertilizer application regime must be followed and used in tandem with the application of latex stimulants.

Your enquiries can be directed to TWKANG@emp.com.my

EMP MALAYSIA PROJECTS AND ENGINEERING DIVISION CLINCHES SKIM BLOCK RUBBER PROJECT

EMP MALAYSIA has received a 1mt/hour Skim Block processing system from their Thai client. The skim block dryer is to be heated by steam generated from a steam boiler powered by biogas.

The biogas is generated from oil palm sludge which is being treated using anaerobic treatment system. Methane is produced, scrubbed before it is burnt in a gas boiler or gas engine.

By using steam heating, their drying cost is virtually free as the whole palm oil mill and skim block factory is energy self sufficient.

In 1992, our Managing Director designed a dual fuel crumb rubber that uses firewood indirect heating system as its main source of heating while a diesel burner was used as back up. This plant was located in Malawi, Central Africa.

Hope our customers and suppliers love our new Corporate shirt.
